My name is Julie and I am a junior at Elon University in North Carolina studying Strategic Communications and International Studies.
Studying Abroad
This spring semester (January-May), I will be studying abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark through the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. DIS is a nonprofit educational foundation with 660 students/ semester and is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen.
Classes
I will be taking class in downtown Copenhagen, as a student in the Communication and Mass Media program. Current Trends in the News Media, Journalism and Public Relations, and International Advertising in a European Context will fulfill requirements for my communications degree. Copenhagen: History and Contemporary Urban Issues, and Holocaust and Genocide will fulfill general studies requirements.
Other
As part of the DIS experience I will have field studies throughout Denmark, travel to London and volunteer on a regular basis in Copenhagen. Check back regularly for stories and photos of my experiences!
